Zion Mosque
ALFA Chicago served as the general contractor for the construction of a 14,000 SF Mosque for the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, built on a 3-acre site of untouched forest in Illinois. The all-metal structure features a 40-foot dome crowning the main prayer hall, custom aluminum panel cladding, ornamental stamped concrete, and hand-crafted decorative metal arches. The project also includes a 2,000 SF exhibition hall equipped with infrastructure for museum-grade LED displays, a 100-car parking lot, and a stormwater retention pond to manage site drainage.
In addition to overseeing construction, ALFA supported the client in securing multiple zoning variances. The mosque holds deep historical and spiritual significance for the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, fulfilling a prophecy made over a century ago by the movement’s founder.
