Academy of Global Citizenship Greenhouse Domes

ALFA Chicago Inc. completed this new-construction greenhouse project for the Academy of Global Citizenship, a state of the art and innovative Chicago Public Charter School. Our scope of work included MEP connections, greenhouse assembly, installation, and supporting site work. This was a highly specialized build and ALFA Chicago is now one of the only firms in Chicago with experience building Growing Spaces greenhouse domes.

In addition to the dome structures themselves, our team built a custom wood-framed outdoor wash and work station to support student use of the greenhouse and create a functional space for hands-on learning. The entire project now supports the schools agricultural curriculum and all the food grown is used in the school’s cafeteria.
